This is my second purchase of these items and they don't disappoint. As a contractor, I find these products affordable and reliable. We have done dozens of kitchen remodels and when our counter top subs call for additional support, the Fastcap brand continues to prove the perfect product for the job. I recommend it for anyone looking to add rigidity and strength to an overhang. Please follow the directions of your counter top supplier and make sure the proper support is provided. These are easy to use and provide an extra layer of safety and security on large overhangs. Lastly, this product is virtually undetectable when installed, as many customers desire. I highly recommend this product.

Great support for a heavy bar top

Worked as promised to help support our live edge bar top. These are just like the ones professional installers used on our glass bar top. They do suggest buying their specialty screws but we used ones we bought at our local hardware store and construction adhesive. We also dado ( trench cut) the wood so the brace would not be visible when sitting lower than the bar. That was a problem with our glass bar top and we promised ourselves it wouldn’t happen again.

Braces need to be attached to a solid support. Once screwed down they are solid and provide support.

Nothing to dislike they are what they are....steel braces...our counter top was installed without enough supports, we took off the counter top made sure the support was strengthened and added 4 more braces. These worked great..maybe a little overkill....

Good braces. Good price. Go for it.

Excellent value. Used a couple of these under the overhang of a quartz bar. Took the old countertop off, notched a couple of shallow channels in the wood cap that topped the knee wall so that these would sit flush with the top and glued and screwed them in. The holes for screws are recessed, of course, so these worked perfectly. Caulked the edges to soften and blend the appearance and painted the bottom of the stone with flat black enamel. Not necessary, but the bottom is visible to people sitting on my couch, so I wanted to make it disappear a bit. A router would be helpful, but I made the channels with a wood chisel. It took longer, but wasn't terribly difficult. Good braces. Good price. Just what I wanted.

Good enough for granite!

I used these at my bar to not wanting to have elbows (90° brackets) under the top. I had granite installed on the bar top and these didn’t even flinch. Kind of pricy but worth it for the quality and sturdiness.

Highly recommended design

Although the granite installer said we didn't need this support, I am much more comfortable with 3 of these supporting a 13" overhang on our 48" wide granite slab. I attached these to two 2x4's inside the cabinet base, with the brace extending under the slab overhang. I now have confidence in support in case anyone places a heavier object, including a grand baby, on the edge of the granite. Highly recommended design and application.
