Cool and Useful!
I had to buy this calculator for my Corporate Finance college course and it works awesome! It is a little different than using some of Texas Instruments other calculators (for example to use the N, I, FV, PV, and PMT buttons you press the number you want first, and then you press that key to enter it). Other than the learning curve, this product is really great for both beginners and experienced users and is extremely affordable as well. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat!

Good business classes and math calculator.
I needed a calculator for my accounting class that had the time value of money functions and this one does it. Nothing too extraordinary about the calculator, however if you need a college calculator I recommend this one for sure. Esocially business majors.

Great for My Purpose
I teach an undergraduate college Personal Finance course. We do simple time value calculations which, when combined properly, can help anyone do a pretty good personal financial plan. Most of my students are not business majors and thus won't need the more advanced time value functions. For this purpose, this calculator is excellent. It's inexpensive and easy to use. I wouldn't choose it for professional use, but as an introduction to time value it's great. One caveat is that users should clear their registers between time value calculations. These things don't have a lot of storage, and if you don't do this you will start getting wrong answers. Long time users will notice; introductory students will not. Clear those registers! I usually have 100-120 students per semester, and each semester from 2-4 discover that the batteries are dead or that the calculator has broken. I keep a few on hand for students' emergency use, hence this purchase. I am continuing to use this calculator, at least for the 2015 spring semester.

Great for business majors, you need it to make your testing life easier.
Makes Time Value Money (TVM) calculations a breeze. Which if you are taking any finance class it makes it, at least on the TVM parts, an easy venture and that section of the test was over in less then 3 minutes, got 100 on that section with no errors. If you are a business major you need this calculator. I wanted to get the pro version, but found that version is banned during tests so I am glad I got this one. I just wish it came with a solar option.

Excellent Calculator
Since the Amazon seller turned out to be a fraud and I had to get a refund, I wound up buying this product from a local Target store. It is truly excellent. I had used a much more expensive Sharp financial calculator for many years prior to replacing it and this one is much better. Easier to use, more solidly built, the whole works. This is an excellent financial calculator. You can use it for ordinary adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying but you can also use it for more complicated things like figuring out payments on mortgages and other loans at various interest rates and with various repayment times.

Great device.
Works great, easy to use, and has all the functions you need for a finance class. I wasn't thrilled to buy a $30 calculator especially because you can use your phone or just a regular scientific calculator. BUT at least it did make some functions a lot easier (and if you're like me, you like to derive the formulas yourself), and you could use the calculator to double-check yourself. Yes, once you get into the real world you end up using a computer to generate all your tables and reports, but it is useful for doing basic work (plus has exponent and log functions that are useful outside of finance). Overall, I know you won't want to spend money on something you'll likely use only for class, but it does help.

Great calculator
i got this calculator for our friends daughter.. i had a chance to use it for a little bit and according to her its great... when i used it i love the buttons it was very easy to use and when you press on them they don't feel to close to rest of the buttons.. the color in the middle section being different color makes it easy for you to read and press. which is also great.. the calculator its self is very fast and responsive..it is not the best calculator out there but for what we paid and what it does its just great calculator..

Great Financial Calculator For Students!
I have used several different types of Financial Calculators for the few Accounting classes I needed to take in college. (I was constantly misplacing my calculators and having to buy new ones.) Of all the ones I have used, this one is, by far, my favorite. I previously used TI Scientific Calculators in High School. The BA II is very similar in ease of use to the TI-83. The price point is one of the cheapest that I've found. It is pretty lightweight and is smaller in size than the TI-83 Scientific Calculator. The two calculators have completely separate functions, but the format/layout of the BA II is similar to that of the TI-83. It comes with an instruction manual that is very simple to follow. It took me about 1-2 hours of playing around with this calculator outside of class to become comfortable using it on a regular basis. I would recommend this calculator over any other Financial Calculator to any student who needs to take any type of Finance or Accounting class. This calculator is also pretty sturdy. Over the course of 4 years (other than the fact that I kept misplacing it), the only 'maintenance' my calculator required was a one-time battery change.

Must Have for Finance Majors
I used this calculator for my finance class. It arrived on time and is a must-have for finance. The calculator is in a great package but was somewhat difficult to open without scissors. After the box is opened there is the calculator and an instruction manual. I would suggest the user to read this as it gives great information about important calculator functions and how to maintain the calculator. The calculator is very easy to operate and operates similar to an TI calculator with the "second" button. Like any TI product, this calculator is of great quality and is very simple to use. I would highly recommend this calculator for anyone who is looking towards finance or in any finance class because it definitely helped me a lot. It makes formulas almost non existent because you can use this for Time Value of Money, Cash Flows, and numerous other financial functions.

Good calculator
This definitely takes some getting used to, but I'm good with it now. Definitely read the owner's manual! If you use yours for non-TVM calculations and are used to a scientific calculator, you may initially be annoyed at the requirement to use () all the time. Simply change the mode of calculation from "Chain" to "Algabraic Operating System" and now it uses the typical operation hierarchy (multiply before add, etc.) without the use of parentheses. The calculation comes set by default to "Chain". There are also a few things to get used to like hitting Second-Quit instead of having a "Clear" button. Just read the owner's manual and you'll eventually get used to it. One last note- when using the TVM buttons, enter percents as if there's a "%" after your entry. For example, 5.1% is entered as 5.1 "I/Y", not .051 "I/Y". This screwed me up for a little bit at first!
